Classy Fudge Sauce

Fudge is actually made of 4 basic ingredients, chocolate, milk, butter, and sugar. It has a semisoft consistency to it. But this is fudge sauce, not the candy fudge. (Although thats very good too!!!)

When making this recipe you want to cut the butter in to the same size pieces or else the butter will melt at different times and it may burn! Also, with cooking the fudge be sure that when the chocolate is melted that all the other ingredients are dissolved in with the chocolate.

There are many different ways you can serve this sauce. So be creative about it in the way that you serve this!! But here are some ideas that I thought of...

  • On top of ice cream that needs a little something more!!
  • To be a little more classic with your ice cream you can have scoops of premium vanilla ice cream (or your choice of flavor), some delicious nutty chopped walnuts, and brownie bites, then some of the fudge sauce drizzled over and top it off a cherry!
  • Cupcakes, Cakes
  • Fondue
  • Over fresh fruit
  • Fudge dipped marshmallows

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips*
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

First, cut the butter into pieces. Then, in a small saucepan, combine the chocolate, milk, butter, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla. Place over low heat and stir constantly with a whisk, and keep stirring until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat and cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve the way you would like!!

Serves around 2 to 3 cups

*You can also use semi-sweet chocolate chunks, instead of the chocolate chips
